12 Abaco Road
A custom home built new in 2015 on Abaco Road, in the Ocean Isle Estates neighborhood of Key Largo. A tall, elevated three-story residence in sunshine-yellow with wraparound balconies and white railings, it tucks a covered carport and a ground-level living area beneath the main floor. Inside, an open great room with travertine floors and granite counters opens through walls of French doors onto the balconies, alongside a full island kitchen and a spa-style bath — designed and built by Summerland to current Monroe County flood and wind standards.
Every choice — the foundation height, the wall thickness, the roof pitch — was made with Monroe County's flood and wind codes in mind. The result is a home that looks effortless and performs beyond code.
